Silver Moose down (my Saab's name). Neither key is being accepted and central locking no longer works and all my tail lights just blew out. I think it's the twice unit, which is about $250 and needs a Saab tech for instalation. Closest one is 40 miles away.
I have to drive 20 miles to school everyday. This might be a problem. I think I'm going to end up with my mom's Juke, unless I can convince her that my 1965 Dodge Dart is safe enough (reliability is not a problem with a Slant 6). If my dad feels charitable I might get to use his suburban, or get his office to loan me an explorer.

Just show her all of the comments you're about to get on how safe it is.

Keeping Silver Moose in my prayers.

I made the mistake of asking the Car Talk Forum about this a few years ago and my mom said if they said it was alright then I could. They didn't say it was alright. It's annoying because this car is one of the things I love (Silver Moose too). Being a car guy that isn't allowed to drive cool cars is like a bob sledder being forced to luge.

If you have good tires on the dart, then be an american.

It's the worst when you have access to the car too! It's so close yet so far away. I had that issue sometimes with my dad's Boxster for awhile.

*glances at $25 used tires* Yeah, of course I have good tires.
